My dad used to read stories to me every day since the earliest days I can recall from childhood. Every night we’d follow furry friends from “The Animals of Farthing Wood”, the British children’s series by Colin Dann, among many other favorites. At my request, he’d always “do the voices”. My favorite was “Badger”, a kind soul with a deep voice and a penchant for heroism. Dad’s voice carved whole worlds out of mere pieces of paper, sparking my imagination and inspiring me to pursue creative writing, book blogging, and eventually carving my own path into the world of voiceover.
Growing up with dual citizenship with an American dad and a British mum, my ear became trained to pick apart different dialects. As such, I am fortunate to be able to breathe life into the voice of male and female characters from various countries.
My wonderful dad passed away in June of 2018. His final words to everyone in our family were to simply be happy, to volunteer, and to serve others as much as possible. He volunteered as a voiceover artist for several years for LearningAlly, achieving his dream of performing during his retirement from over 50 years of practicing law. This site is dedicated to him.
When I’m not reading mountains of novels, writing fiction, or recording voiceover projects, I serve the animals of Boise, Idaho, as a veterinarian.
